Hi. I updated the credit card that I wanted used for the January 1 tuition charge yet it was charged to the previous card that was in the system. Would it be possible to reverse the charge that went to Amex and put instead on the Capital One card that is in the system now?

Pesach was just an example, since that's the typical period where a boy could leave mid-month or just isn't in yeshiva. The intent was to include any significant piece of a partial month where he left. But I figured this would be your answer, so I will not push further. I have no doubt the yeshiva could use the money.
I would appreciate, at the very least, a donation receipt for the portion of the month he wasn't there.

The allowance was for Pesach, as you said. We do not prorate on a month-to-month basis.
The reason we do not do that is because although we bill on the first of the English month, the schedule actually follows the zmanim of the Hebrew months.
Elul zman started on August 25. As such, your son only left a few days before the completion of his 4th month.
Your account status has been marked as 'left' and your card will no longer be charged.

Apologies, I need to just make a correction. His last day was December 17, so I would expect to receive about $1k back of the full $2.2k paid for portion of December he wasn't in Yeshiva.

As I am sure you know, my son is no longer a talmid in the yeshiva. A few things:
First, please make sure not to charge me any additional tuition.
Second, as was discussed in the initial conversations about tuition, I agreed to pay full tuition with the understanding that any truly partial month of attendance (example at the time was Nissan if my son was home). My son's last day in the yeshiva/dorm was September 17. Consistent with your original understanding, I expect to receive about $1k back in tuition.
